BBNC Changes to service provision – 20th March

How are you managing out there? It is ok. We will be ok. But we do need to make some changes to ensure we protect the most vulnerable in our community. Our staff have been working hard this week developing innovative ways to deliver service whilst we wait the virus out.

In response to current best practice advice the following changes will be implemented at the Balmoral Bush Nursing Centre, effective from 5pm Friday 20th March.

All Social Support Group programs will cease until further notice

Group community transport services will cease until further notice

All exercise classes (internal and external) will cease until further notice

NDIS services will remain with restrictions to external travel (Risk Assessed)

Community Aged Care – Case Management and individual respite and transport service will continue as appropriate

Social distancing rules to include no face to face meetings with preference for teleconference or video meeting

Please contact us if you have any concerns or specific are needs. Our staff are being very innovative in developing ways of supporting the needs of clients whilst addressing the current Covid-19 best practice rules.

When seeking an appointment by phone or in person you will be asked specific screening questions and when you present in person to the Centre your temperature will be checked as well. This is to ensure the safety of staff, visiting service providers and the broader community.

A public information hotline has been established by the Department of Health and Human Services to answer any queries form the community, general or health related. This hotline can be reached by calling 1800 675 398

Clinic Nursing/Emergency response services will continue as normal
